Valentine’s Day might possibly be the biggest day for couples, the only real contender is Christmas Eve (at least in Japan). I was cute watching Kobeni trying to give Hakuya the chocolates she made for him, but at the same time fidgeting because she knows he hates sweet stuff and she’s also now very aware that he’s a boy of a same age. She has feelings for the guy obviously, but they aren’t powerful love points just yet. We are witnessing the beginnings of what will be a long and happy relationship. And then there’s Mashiro’s obsession with a certain brand of UMA chocolates from the store and of course Benio is always fun to watch.

Before I get too ahead of myself, Kobeni’s mom was aware that Hakuya’s family were not human. She had a hard time believing it at first, but she thanks them from the bottom of her heart for saving Kobeni’s life. Benio was thinking about the possibilities about Mashiro transforming into an animal and wondered if she could make furry ears and cat paws appear. Mashiro said that it’s hard for young people to transform easily, but an adult like her has no trouble transforming anytime she wants to. She refuses to become a cat person; actually it’s impossible to stop transforming halfway, but I have a theory that she won’t turn into a cat person for Benio no matter what.

Happiness Charge! Precure Episode 02 – The Precure That Runs Away

Japanese: ハピネスチャージプリキュア!

Previous Episode Summaries

Continuing from where the episode ended off on last week, Cure Lovely and Cure Princess were still fighting the Terribad which came from Mao (the little girl). Namakeruda is the guy controlling the Terribad and from what we see of him in this episode, he is lazy. Cure Princess was useless throughout the rest of the fight as she cowered on the ground trying to hide herself behind a flower from the Terribad. Cure Lovely was leaps and bounds better, if only because she went on the attack no matter how scared she was. I’ll give Cure Princess credit though in one aspect: she knows how to run away better than anyone else. She would know this, seeing that she’s never won a fight in her life.

Cure Princess used her PreBrace to summon a large tornado and threw that at the Terribad while she took Cure Lovely and ran away. A short distance later, they turned back into their normal bodies and Hime (Cure Princess) took Megumi (Cure Lovely) back to her mansion. The mansion is the embassy headquarters for her kingdom, the Blue Sky Kingdom. For Namakeruda, this was his first time seeing a Precure run away from a fight and he was as shocked as Megumi was.

It was lunch in the mahjong tournament hall for roughly the length of the first half. I thought this part was a waste of time both in the anime and in the manga, unless you’re a fan of the pro players. This scene and the one with Achiga only served to hype Achiga and to remind us that they’re here. I wish I could forget about them (well not Ako), but that doesn’t seem likely to happen any time soon. Hisa went to the playing room fifteen minutes before her match began. But she stood in the gap of the door stunned by the size of the room. She is a nervous wreck and didn’t see the other players walk by her. How long did she stand there, she wondered.

Her opponents are: Hiroe Atago, a third year at Himematsu High and the team captain in the mahjong club; Kurumi Kakura, a third year at Miyamori Girls’ High. Kurumi is childish, snarky, and loves sitting in Shiromi Kosegawa’s lap; and Haru Takimi, a first year at Eisui Girls’ High School (she is the younger cousin of professional player Yoshiko Kainou). Haru is the quiet one, Hiroe is the loud and fun one, and Kurumi plays the ‘straight guy’ role if she and Hiroe were doing a comedy skit together.

Buddy Complex Episode 06 – Another Coupling

Previous Summaries

Two new key characters were introduced in this episode: one of them walked away without his name being told; so I don’t know if he’s really that important. He is simply known as the chief of the first airborne division. We know from this that he’s pretty amazing and a shrewd tactician. The other new character we see in the episode is a guy Aoba’s and Dio’s age named Fromm. Now Fromm is a stupid name; I paused the video to introduce my face with my palm. Fromm has an outgoing personality and people are naturally drawn to him because of how outspoken he is. Anessa Rossetti from the bridge (she is the girl with purple hair and she’s quite cute as all the girls are) has a thing for Fromm, because he’s very handsome.

Hina wasn’t cleared of all suspicion after the battle that took place, because the enemy (Aoba) wouldn’t attack back. She sat in her dark room sulking and wondering why he wouldn’t attack her. She remembered his frantic face as he tried to get her attention. Hina wasn’t allowed to dwell too long on Aoba because a male friend whose name I don’t know took her outside to see a doe and its fawn. They were joined by a few other guys, but Hina had eyes only for Bizon. I guess it’s good to know that Hina isn’t attaching herself to Aoba because he’s the main character. Also among Zogillia news, Alfried is being given a new weapon or mecha or something along those lines for his capturing Chitose Base.

Previous Episode Summaries

I wasn’t expecting an episode like this, but after watching it I felt it was the perfect prelude going into a war. The episode’s location was at the dorm of the main characters and they were running a restaurant from their kitchen with Ari-men as the main dish. Ari-men is a combination of Ariel’s name and ramen; this is her specialty ramen which is so good that it had Fausto liquified in his chair asking for more. Lewis and the two teachers also made an appearance and they couldn’t believe their taste buds that a student could cook something this good. Sadly there wasn’t much going on in the episode so this may be a short post.

In the opening segment the pilots and students flew over the Holy Spring. The Holy Spring is a jet of water constantly shooting water into the air hundreds of feet and as the water falls back to the ground, the mist gives the illusion of a waterfall. The Sky Clan that fought Isla at the end of the previous episode was only the first few trickles of a raging storm. The Sky Clan uses older models of planes they knew very well, but they have no attachment to any nation. The Sky Clan exists to fight anyone that comes to the Holy Spring. Lewis plans to take Isla beyond the Holy Spring to the End of the Sky.

Ichijou was concerned about yesterday’s events at his house for he never had a chance to talk to Onodera to tell her that it was a misunderstanding after she saw Chitoge and him in a suspicious position As he was trying to find her, he overheard Onodera talking with Ruri, but he couldn’t hear exactly what they were saying. The two girls were talking about yesterday and Onodera going after a guy that already has a girlfriend and how immoral that is. Ruri had to agree somewhere in her heart, but she also commented that her friend hasn’t done anything yet(whether it was before he started going out with Chitoge or not).

The part of the conversation that he heard clearly for before this everything came to him in chopped pieces, was when Ruri asked why Onodera was so hung up about the guy she made a promise to ten years ago with her key and that boy with a locket. Of course Ichijou’s mind began to race with possibilities and he didn’t hear what Ruri said next. Ruri told Onodera that she will create an opportunity for Onodera tomorrow (to steal Ichijou). The thing she said in her heart though was a question wondering if Chitoge and Ichijou were really going out. She couldn’t tell.

Previous Summaries

Before I get too into the summary let me announce that both Noragami and Wizard Barristers are dropped: reason being that I hated Noragami and Wizard Barristers wasn’t how I imagined it to be.

Aladdin removed the jewel from his forearm, expecting the Rukh to restore his magoi instantly as before, but he was wrong. That didn’t happen for he realized that he’s had the limiter on for so long that it will take a long time for the Rukh to begin filling his body back to normal because he’s gotten so strong. This is a problem because Alexius and the other Fanalis are not going walk away  without capturing Magnostadt them first. The line was drawn at the second of three barriers. On the one side are the magicians aided by Aladdin and on the other is the entire Reim army led currently by Alexius and his Fanalis corps.

There were weak magicians on the front lines with their magoi nearly completely depleted that had their personal barriers kicked and punched through like wet paper. The teachers’ and stronger magicians’ personal barriers were a lot stronger, but with the power of two Fanalis kicking and punching the barrier at the same time from opposite sides was more than enough to destroy them. Aladdin at this point was still waiting for his magoi to come back to him; he was nothing more than a very intelligent and kind magician about the same strength as Titus, and he lost to Alexius at the end of the previous episode.
